Project Overview
Project Galah builds on the success of Pardalote, and represents the team’s first hybrid SRAD launch vehicle designed, manufactured and tested in a single project year cycle.
Galah brings together some of the team’s most ambitious in-house systems to date. These include Insignis, our flight computer, an SRAD active control system, an aerostructural-oxidiser tank, capacitive oxidiser fill sensor, a novel payload, and SRAD parachutes. Together, they mark a significant step forward in the team’s ability to deliver integrated SRAD systems from development through to launch.
As our most complete SRAD vehicle yet, Galah marks a major technical milestone in the team’s hybrid rocket program. Its launch demonstrates the maturity of our design, testing and operations capability, while laying the groundwork for our future 30,000 ft vehicle.
